Love Is the Only Way: A Song Inspired by Courage, Kindness, and Humanity

There are moments in life when you meet someone who profoundly shifts your perspective, someone whose story transcends time and reminds you of the resilience of the human spirit. For me, that person was Mania Salinger

.

Late in her life, Mania and I became dear friends. As a teenager, Mania endured the unimaginable—surviving four Nazi concentration camps during the Holocaust. It’s hard to comprehend the depth of inhumanity she faced, yet what stood out most about Mania was not what she endured but how she lived. Her spirit remained unbroken, and she chose to dedicate her life to love, service, and sharing her story with the world.

Mania spoke to countless audiences, recounting her experiences and urging them to carry forward the lessons of history. When asked what wisdom she wished to impart to young people, her response was always the same: “Always be kind. Always be brave.”

Mania’s strength, love, and hope inspired me deeply, and they planted the seeds for my song, "Love Is the Only Way."

Imagine stepping into a serene space, surrounded by like-minded individuals all seeking a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them. The gentle strumming of a guitar fills the air, setting the stage for a journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth. As the music plays, you feel yourself being transported to a place of inner peace and tranquility.

A Tribute to Mania

Performing this song for Mania on the 75th anniversary of her liberation was one of the greatest honors of my life. It was a moment that felt like a full circle—a tribute to her journey, her strength, and her unwavering belief in the power of love.

Mania’s story is a testament to the fact that even in the face of incomprehensible darkness, light can prevail. Her courage and kindness continue to inspire me, and I hope this song serves as a reflection of her legacy.
